247MarketNews Pro Community Guidelines
Welcome to the 247MarketNews Pro community. These guidelines apply to every comment, direct message, profile, and piece of content you post in 247MarketNews Pro or any connected service. By using the app, you agree to follow them.
1. Not Financial Advice
Posts and comments in 247MarketNews Pro are user-generated observations — not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. 247MarketNews, its moderators, and fellow users are not your advisor. Do your own research. You are solely responsible for every trade you place.
2. Stay On-Topic
- Comment threads are scoped to a single symbol. Keep your post relevant to that ticker.
- Off-topic posts (general politics, unrelated sports, etc.) may be deleted at moderator discretion.
- Link to the relevant ticker with the
$TSLA/$BTCsyntax rather than long tangents.
3. No Market Manipulation
Zero tolerance. The following result in immediate permanent ban:
- Pump-and-dump coordination, whether in comments, DMs, or off-platform groups you link to.
- Misleading claims of insider knowledge, unannounced M&A, or earnings leaks. Do not post, reference, or seek material non-public information (MNPI).
- Fake screenshots, doctored filings, or fabricated news.
- Coordinated campaigns to artificially move price via hype or FUD.
- Paid promotion of securities without clear disclosure. If you are being compensated in any form to discuss a ticker, you must disclose it prominently in the post.
4. No Spam or Self-Promotion
- No referral codes, affiliate links, or invites to external paid groups.
- No repeated posting of the same content across threads.
- No linking to scrapers, clones, or pirated data feeds.
- Rate-limiting is enforced server-side; circumventing it via multi-account use is grounds for removal.
- NO Fake company news, fake hype or any other fake information, you will be banned and blacklisted.
5. No Harassment or Hate
- Personal attacks, harassment, threats, stalking, or doxxing of any user, moderator, issuer, executive, or third party are prohibited.
- Hate speech, slurs, and discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected class are prohibited.
- Disagreement about a stock is fine. Attacking the person is not.
6. No Illegal or Explicit Content
- No links to or requests for pirated software, illicit data, malware, or stolen credentials.
- No content that is explicitly sexual in nature. i.e. Nudity or sex acts
- No gore, graphic violence, or content that depicts or promotes self-harm.
- No content that violates US or applicable international law.
7. Privacy
- Never post another user's real name, address, phone number, employer, or other personally identifying information.
- Never post your own banking, brokerage, SSN, or account credentials. Staff will never ask for them.
- Masked account emails are for identification only. Screenshotting them to harass a user is itself a violation.
8. Moderator Authority
Community moderators are volunteers approved for specific symbols. Within their assigned symbols, moderators may:
- Delete comments that violate these guidelines.
- Pin informative comments to the top of a thread.
- Temporarily ban a user from that one symbol (1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days).
- Permanently ban a user from that one symbol.
- Of course admins can permanently ban your account, ip(s) and blacklist you.
- Moderators can remove content they believe is irrelevant or useless or they believe is disruptive to the current conversations, i.e. trolling, people posting useless content, or off topic content that is irrelevant. Excessive trolling or being annoying for the purpose of bothering others could end in an account ban. Company based Memes, trolling a company in quality context, mocking a company, would not fall under this same category, but is asked to be done in a common sense way that is adding to the quality of the chat. Mods will remove irrelevant and useless content. i.e. Don't be so over the top that it's annoying, but quality dissent is fine. i.e. questioning things, humorous satire are all ok but should be kept to a minimum. Mods could still remove annoying repetitive content.
Moderator actions are scoped to their assigned symbol — a moderator cannot ban you from the platform, nor from other symbols. All moderator actions are logged. But they can recommend to the admins and submit evidence for an account ban.
Staff (admins) may take global action, including permanent account suspension.
9. Enforcement Tiers
Violations generally escalate:
| Severity | Action |
|---|---|
| Minor off-topic, formatting noise, first offense | Comment deletion, optional warning |
| Repeated spam, light harassment | 1-hour or 24-hour temp ban on the symbol |
| Sustained harassment, doctored content | 7-day or permanent symbol-specific ban |
| Market manipulation, MNPI, hate, illegal content | Immediate permanent global account ban |
Staff may deviate from this ladder based on severity and context.
10. Appeals
If you believe a moderator or staff action was wrong, use the Support page in the app to file a ticket. Do not retaliate against or publicly call out the moderator — doing so is itself a violation. Comments cannot be undeleted.
11. Changes
These guidelines may change. Material changes are announced in-app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
